ALASKA - Frequently Asked Questions About Alaska
Question :
What is the length of the Alaska Highway?
ANSWER :
- The actual driving distance of the Alaska Highway (from Mile 0 at
Dawson Creek, British Columbia, to Historical Mile1422 in Delta Junction,
Alaska) is 1,390 miles. Over the years, road reconstruction has shortened
the length of the highway from its original length of 1,422 miles.
- An additional stretch of 98 miles of the Richardson Highway that runs
from Delta Junction to Fairbanks, Alaska, is usually added to the full
length of the trip.
